The first point of contact for Wakefield Adult Social Care Services and Support is Social Care Direct. Here, enquiries and requests for assessment/review/support from people with care and support needs and carers with support needs are triaged. If appropriate and proportionate, the case will be referred to the appropriate teams within the council. Social Care Direct operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
